Retail Store Manager position at Jollyes Pets in Selby, responsible for managing daily operations including team management, store standards, stock management and delivering excellent customer service to pet parents.
Job Responsibility:
Lead by example creating excellent culture and working environment
Full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store
Managing KPIs around people, store standards, customer service standards and financial performance
Maximising both turnover and gross margin along with control of costs
Ensure delivery of highest standards of pet care and welfare of pets
Promote responsible pet ownership
Provide exceptional customer service and great shopping experience
Display strong pet and product knowledge
Recruit, motivate, train and develop team
Review and manage performance
Promote Jollyes as employer of choice within local community
Ensure clear communication of key business updates and individual and team objectives
Requirements:
Previous retail store management experience with a hands-on approach
Ability to manage business on a daily basis and plan for short, medium, and long-term success
Sound decision-making and effective communication skills
Ability to build high-performing and highly engaged teams
Proven track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs
Ability to deliver high levels of store standards including health & safety and legal compliance
Commercial awareness and ability to manage P&L
Proactive approach
Own transport with UK driving licence
Full-time availability (40 hours per week working 5 days out of 7)
