Job Description

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members
  • Responsible for supervising work performed by all team members
  • Recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and discharging team members
  • Train new team members
  • Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases
  • Assist in the hiring process
  • Support store manager ensuring safety compliance
  • Make sales calls with/without store manager
  • Support store manager in area of store operations
  • Responsible for maintenance of delivery fleet and records
  • Ensure store is kept neat, clean and organized
  • Learn to utilize electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and payroll entry
  • Learn to manage key components of gross profit

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program
  • Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Nice to have

  • O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience
  • Completed O'Reilly management training program
  • Advanced computer skills
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

  • Support store manager by working with the assistant management team ensuring safety compliance and that all team members receive appropriate training
