Job Description:

The SMIT (Store Manager In Training) position is designed to prepare candidates for a Store Manager role at CVS. In this 16-week development-focused position, candidates will engage in virtual and hands-on training while being supported by CVS leadership teams. The focus lies on building leadership and operational management skills.

Job Responsibility:

Actively engage with the leader in key learning experiences to support promotion
support the store as a management team member
lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies
engage colleagues in support of the company's purpose of 'helping people on their path to better health'
manage operations and maintain store profitability

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
four-year college degree preferred or relevant work experience
retail management experience or experience as a CVS supervisor
ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market
ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager role within the designated market
communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead the team
perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service
execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth
manage the store inventory and assets to maintain profitability
