Job Description:

The Store Food Operations Leader oversees the IKEA Food department's daily operations, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, motivating the team, and collaborating with other departments to achieve business goals.

Job Responsibility:

Leading and motivating the team of employees in the IKEA Food department
Organizing and overseeing daily operations (restaurant, bistro, staff canteen, kitchen)
Ensuring an excellent customer experience in line with IKEA values and food safety regulations
Planning and optimizing work schedules while ensuring the right support for the team
Monitoring sales performance and implementing activities to achieve set goals
Ensuring proper product presentation and effective stock management
Onboarding new employees and conducting regular training sessions with a focus on food safety, quality, and work efficiency
Actively collaborating with other departments (e.g., logistics, purchasing, marketing) to successfully execute promotions and campaigns
Handling customer requests and complaints professionally
Implementing safety and hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with legislation

Requirements:

Experience in leading a team in hospitality, grocery retail, or a similar field
Good understanding of operations in a high-paced environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to motivate and develop employees and to foster a positive work culture
Capability to make quick decisions and solve problems under pressure
Knowledge of food safety standards
Customer-oriented with strong team leadership and work process organization skills
Excellent knowledge of the Slovenian language and basic to advanced knowledge of English
Willingness to work flexible hours (shift work, work on Saturdays)
