Job Description:

Retail Store Associate floating between various departments, contributing to a successful shopping experience. Meeting customers in stores, online, in catalogue and beyond with knowledge of IKEA product range, local markets and customer needs.

Job Responsibility:

Actively approach customers requiring additional help identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their homes
Keep area of responsibility clean, tidy, priced and fully stocked
Ensure IKEA basic merchandising standards are in place at all times
Convey passion about IKEA products and actively learn about their features and benefits
Build furniture as needed for In Shape As New, introduction of new products, commercial calendar implementation and remodels
Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy
Flow product to final selling location
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
Provide customers with a simple and efficient Full Serve Hand Out experience
Provide customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience
Prepare, produce, and maintain IKEA Food menu items
Follow procedures and guidelines for safe food handling, cleanliness and sanitation, and workplace safety

Requirements:

1 year of retail experience, preferably in the home furnishing sector
Experience in actively selling through understanding customers and their needs
Bilingual - English and Spanish is a plus

Nice to have:

Knowledge of IKEA Food products, ingredients, and allergens
Bilingual - English and Spanish
