Job Description:

The Storage Sales Specialist is responsible for leading pursuit and collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. They drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. The role focuses on selling HPE storage products and solutions, acting as the primary Subject Matter Expert for Storage and related products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead pursuit and collaborate with Account Managers
  • Drive proactive campaigns to build pipeline
  • Prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities
  • Act as primary Subject Matter Expert for Storage products
  • Drive storage sales and demonstrate understanding of features/benefits
  • Maintain outside-in view of competitors and market trends
  • Use references to craft compelling customer stories
  • Hunt for solution opportunities in acquisition and development accounts
  • Generate customer interest and link business benefits with technology
  • Bring services-led approach through consultative engagements
  • Focus on channel relationships and enablement
  • Manage sales of storage products in assigned territory
  • Coordinate and drive sales activities
  • Build sales pipeline and drive opportunities to closure
  • Formulate and expand solutions to generate additional revenue
  • Build sales readiness through effective knowledge transfer
  • Coordinate supporting sales activities with account managers and partners
  • Negotiate profitable deals
  • Establish professional consultative relationships with clients
  • Interface with internal and external experts
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns for storage products
  • Support deal closure with internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Typically 5 years of sales experience
  • Demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota
  • Storage related sales experience preferred
  • Expertise to assess solution feasibility from technical and business perspective
  • Hunter mentality to actively pursue solution opportunities
  • Ability to independently articulate technical solution and commercial benefits
  • Knowledge of digital and modern sales methods
  • In-depth knowledge about storage, service, cloud solutions
  • Understanding of industry trends and competitors
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate well-targeted solutions
  • Understanding of how to engage different types of partners effectively
