The Storage Reorganization & eDiscovery Engineer will be responsible for managing file shares, processing eDiscovery requests, and ensuring compliance with ITIL processes.
Job Responsibility:
Execute approved storage reorganization activities, including restructuring file shares and updating access permissions within Windows File Services and NAS environments
Process eDiscovery requests by locating, extracting, and securely delivering data in accordance with legal, compliance, and security requirements
Ensure all activities are fully documented and audit-ready, including evidence of approvals, execution steps, and outcomes
Communicate effectively with stakeholders in German and English to clarify requests, provide status updates, and ensure accurate execution of tasks
Coordinate with technical teams across storage, infrastructure, and application services to implement complex changes or resolve issues
Validate implemented changes to ensure they meet requirements and escalate any anomalies or incidents when necessary
Identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with the CSI (Continuous Service Improvement) team to enhance operational efficiency
Ensure all activities adhere to ITIL-based processes, including Incident, Request, and Change Management procedures
Maintain and update runbooks, operational documentation, and process guidelines related to storage reorganization and eDiscovery activities
Support governance and compliance initiatives by ensuring proper data access controls and documentation standards are consistently applied
Participate in on-call rotations and out-of-hours support for live streaming events and critical service incidents
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing file shares and permissions in enterprise Windows environments
Experience handling legal discovery (eDiscovery) requests within enterprise storage environments
Strong understanding of Windows File Services structures, delegated permissions, and access management
Familiarity with Active Directory concepts, identity integration, and permission inheritance
Basic knowledge of NAS environments and CIFS/SMB protocols used for enterprise file sharing
Experience working with IT service management (ITSM) tools, such as ServiceNow, for request and change tracking
Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Request, and Change Management
Proven ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and follow structured operational workflows
High attention to detail with the ability to work effectively within SLA-driven operational environments
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
ITIL v4 Foundation certification (mandatory)
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and German
