Job Description:

Storage Presales Architect responsible for architecting solutions that achieve customer business outcomes within specific technical domains or across the broader company portfolio. Develops compelling proposals and ensures customer's business and technical requirements are met. Provides technical expertise to sales teams and customers through sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect solutions to achieve customer business outcomes
  • Develop and articulate compelling, accurate, and relevant proposals
  • Provide technical expertise to sales teams and customers
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in solution domains and company products
  • Develop compelling customer proposals and manage expectations
  • Quantify impact of business problems and position business value
  • Translate outcome-based solutions into functional and technical designs
  • Communicate how solution value propositions address customer needs
  • Track leading-edge and emerging technologies
  • Contribute to industry development through conferences and events
  • Gather and apply competitive intelligence
  • Drive Account Business Planning process
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions and build customer relationships
  • Produce comparative analysis of alternative approaches
  • Develop optimal workload solutions balancing cost, scope, and benefits
  • Transfer knowledge to external partners
  • Proactively build pipeline by identifying opportunities
  • Monitor account pipeline and nurture active deals
  • Participate in sales forecast meetings
  • Document ongoing work throughout sales cycle
  • Build professional relationships with customer executives
  • Share knowledge with peers and develop junior team members

Requirements:

  • First-level university technical degree or equivalent technical qualifications
  • 8-12 years of technical experience in IT with focus on technical consulting and solution selling
  • Knowledge-based as well as 1+ experienced-based relevant industry certifications very strongly preferred
  • Advanced experience participating in and leading solution configurations and creation of demos and proofs-of-concept
  • Advanced understanding of company portfolio of products, software, services, solution domain specialization
  • Advanced ability to translate aaS and complete ecosystem, differentiated value, solutions, and workloads
  • Advanced understanding of aaS business model variations
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate in English and applicable local languages
  • Advanced business and financial acumen
  • Advanced consultative/value selling skills including whiteboarding, objection handling, and closing skills
