Job Description

As the Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage End-to-End ownership of overall solutions for innovative products. Solid program management of various software development teams, monitoring the quality of the resulting software deliverables and a strong partnership with the customer support teams are the key focus area of this role. Advanced Micro Devices is seeking a Program Manager to drive ecosystem readiness and execution for client storage technologies across AMD client platforms. This role will work across internal engineering teams and external ecosystem partners to ensure seamless integration of storage technologies on AMD-based systems. You will coordinate programs across SSD vendors, OEMs, firmware teams, and operating system partners to enable high-performance and power-efficient storage solutions on AMD client platforms. The role focuses on ensuring ecosystem alignment, validation readiness, and successful platform launches for next-generation client processors such as the AMD Ryzen series.

Job Responsibility

  • Ecosystem Program Management: Lead program execution for client storage ecosystem initiatives supporting AMD client platforms
  • Manage cross-functional timelines to ensure ecosystem readiness for new platform launches
  • Coordinate activities across internal engineering teams and external ecosystem partners
  • Ecosystem & Partner Engagement: Collaborate with SSD vendors, controller suppliers, and PC OEM partners to enable optimized storage solutions on AMD platforms
  • Support ecosystem alignment for new features such as PCIe generation transitions, performance optimizations, and power efficiency improvements
  • Facilitate technical collaboration between partner engineering teams and AMD internal teams
  • Validation & Readiness: Coordinate validation efforts to ensure interoperability, performance, and reliability across client storage solutions
  • Track ecosystem readiness and ensure partners meet platform milestones
  • Drive resolution of technical integration issues during platform development and launch cycles
  • Program Governance & Reporting: Maintain Storage Approved Vendor List (AVL) program schedules, risk tracking, and status reporting for internal leadership
  • Provide visibility into ecosystem readiness for upcoming AMD client platform launches
  • Lead cross-team discussions to resolve program and technical issues
  • Provides unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications
  • Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
  • Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
  • Strong self-motivator, with a sense of urgency when needed and strong crisis management skills

Requirements

  • Solid experiences of program management, technical program management, or engineering experience
  • Background in client computing platforms, storage technologies, or semiconductor ecosystems
  • Understanding of: NVMe and PCIe storage architectures, SSD technologies and NAND flash, Client platform architecture
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering programs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired or MBA or related Masters
