We are offering a new and exciting opportunity to join a truly international Planning team with a global reach in the role of Stocking Policy Manager. As Satair supports the commercial aerospace industry with spare parts, an effective stocking policy is a critical enabler for balancing material availability, customer needs, and business growth. The stocking policy manager will own and manage the policy arbitration process across multiple product groups within the organization. This role drives continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, evaluation, and targeted initiatives. Working cross-functionally, you will ensure alignment across diverse stakeholder interests, including close collaboration with our Product Management and Finance teams.
Job Responsibility:
Performing analysis and simulations to derive business insights and improvements for the stocking policy
Develop and improve advanced forecasting and simulation methods in regards to the stocking policy, merging statistical, commercial and technical data
Manage the preparation and facilitation of an annual stocking policy governance in Satair as well as potential implementation afterwards
Manage via functional colleagues or lead collaborations and negotiations internally to agree on proposals to be presented to the ELT in an annual governance meeting
Monitor KPIs and performance of potential adjustments in the policy
Requirements:
Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum of five years of professional or research experience in inventory management, forecasting, or supply chain planning
Strong expertise in SAP, IBP, and Skywise (Palantir)
Preferably solid coding skills (e.g., Python, SQL) with experience working with algorithms and large datasets
Strong analytical capabilities
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality data analyses
Focus on cross-functional collaboration
Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior and executive management
