Job Description

Stock Placement Coordinator at Matalan Support Hub, Knowsley, Liverpool. Competitive salary plus benefits. Full Time, Permanent. Responsibilities include stock allocation and replenishment, stock availability management, divisional support, and team leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Stock allocation & replenishment: Utilise stock placement systems and reporting to ensure stock is allocated in the right quantities at the right time, to all channels
  • Oversee accurate SCP product parameter set up and maintenance of overall division by channel in line with parameter seasonal strategy to enable initial launch allocations for all key product launches and events
  • Provide support and expertise to the team on challenging replenishment parameters throughout the product life cycle to maximise profitability
  • Support consistency for creating and maintaining the min fill levels aligned to space plan by working alongside the Trading Teams
  • Based on your levels of experience be the go to for product enquiries on the divisions you manage Allocation and Replenishment
  • Stock availability: Responsible for managing internal inventory alongside Trading Teams to maximise store and Ecom availability for your divisions
  • Work alongside the international team to ensure all international plans are met on inbound stock, highlighting discrepancies to ensure collaborative solutions are agreed
  • Work alongside Trading Teams to manage the current and future stock levels within your departments
  • Optimise size level availability in line with customer sales trends and profiles for all channels
  • Work with key stakeholders to manage store launch of all events within agreed timeline and critical path
  • Use data driven decisions to identify any risks and opportunities for Intake/ Replenishment to senior stock placement planner / Trading Teams to aid effective stock placement
  • Divisional Support: Proactively monitor DC stock flow liaising with Merchandising, DC and processors driving appropriate actions to resolve any issues to achieving despatch plans or delaying despatch of stock delivery to any Channel
  • Work with other areas of the business on key events in the Matalan trading calendar, tracking stock levels and availability, highlighting risk and ops to Leadership for your Divisions
  • Share Best practice with Stock Placement team, working with your Peers to drive consistent ways of working
  • Team leadership and ways of working: Share best practise to benefit the overall Central Planning and wider Trading function
  • Build and maintain good relationships with the Stock Placement TAM population, acting as a role model and providing support / mentorship as needed
  • Create an environment for the team where each colleague is clear in their role and the part they play in delivering the overall Trade strategy and KPI’s
  • Conduct performance conversations in line with corporate review windows, agreeing with Stock placement manager objectives that align to developing skills and capabilities, highlighting opportunities for personal growth and skills gaps requiring support
  • Colleagues are supported and coached based on individual strengths, development needs and aspirations
  • Assist the development of Stock Placement Best Practice by reviewing and updating onboarding and New starter Induction material
