Job Description

The Stock Loan desk at Susquehanna manages the borrowing and lending of securities to facilitate the activity on our trading desks. This position provides exposure to how Susquehanna manages firm-wide risk, and is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills and overall financial products knowledge.

Job Responsibility

  • Communicating with counterparties about current loans of stock
  • Ensuring settlement of stock loan transactions
  • Tracking and correcting trade breaks
  • Running macros that update data used in profit and loss reports
  • Helping the desk to support a team of traders for all operational issues

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Access
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external vendors
  • Detail oriented
  • ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with VBA and SQL
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry or completion of finance- or investment-related coursework
  • Probability and Statistics background
