Job Description

Stock Administrator at The Timber Group (TTG) Herringswell ! - Keeping inventory in check, paperwork flowing and operations running smoothly so the team can deliver with confidence.

Job Responsibility

  • Keeping stock records up to date and accurate – timber, fixings, and all the essentials
  • Carrying out regular stock checks, audits and sorting out any mismatches
  • Checking deliveries as they come in – making sure everything’s there and up to scratch
  • Working closely with the yard team to keep stock moving smoothly and on time
  • Updating inventory systems and pulling together reports when needed
  • Spotting and flagging any issues like missing items, damage, or stock errors
  • Helping plan what needs reordering and chatting with suppliers to get it sorted
  • Keeping the stock area tidy, safe, and well-organised
  • Supporting safe working practices when handling stock
  • Teaming up with logistics and sales to make sure everything’s running like clockwork

Requirements

  • Confident with stock control, inventory systems or warehouse work
  • Ideally some experience around timber and yard environments (bonus, not a must)
  • Good head for numbers
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office
  • Organised
  • Problem solver
  • Works well both solo and with a team
