Job Responsibility
Keeping stock records up to date and accurate – timber, fixings, and all the essentials
Carrying out regular stock checks, audits and sorting out any mismatches
Checking deliveries as they come in – making sure everything’s there and up to scratch
Working closely with the yard team to keep stock moving smoothly and on time
Updating inventory systems and pulling together reports when needed
Spotting and flagging any issues like missing items, damage, or stock errors
Helping plan what needs reordering and chatting with suppliers to get it sorted
Keeping the stock area tidy, safe, and well-organised
Supporting safe working practices when handling stock
Teaming up with logistics and sales to make sure everything’s running like clockwork
Requirements
Confident with stock control, inventory systems or warehouse work
Ideally some experience around timber and yard environments (bonus, not a must)
Good head for numbers
Solid attention to detail
Comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office
Organised
Problem solver
Works well both solo and with a team
