Job Description:

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Event Stewards to join our team and ensure the smooth and safe running of various events. As an Event Steward, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, assisting guests, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

Job Responsibility:

  • Welcome attendees and provide information or guidance as required
  • Direct attendees to facilities such as seating, restrooms, first aid points, and exits
  • Monitor crowd flow to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience
  • Enforce safety regulations and event policies to ensure compliance
  • Identify and report any potential hazards, risks, or issues to supervisors or event management
  • Assist in emergency procedures, including evacuations, if required
  • Act as a point of contact for attendees, answering questions or resolving concerns in a friendly and professional manner
  • Handle any disputes or complaints promptly and escalate to the appropriate manager if necessary
  • Work closely with other stewards, security staff, and event coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the event
  • Participate in pre-event briefings to understand roles and responsibilities
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown, as needed
  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for issues

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and act quickly under pressure
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as events require
  • Prior experience in event management, customer service, or stewarding (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in events (Desirable)
  • First Aid certification (preferred but not essential)
