As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and directing stewards and dishwashers to transport and clean cooking utensils and serviceware in order to provide cooks, buspersons and servers with appropriate equipment for the guest dining experience. You will also ensure cleaning of physical surroundings. The schedule for this position will be 4:30pm-1:00am, subject to change based on special events/holidays.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise, direct, and ensure the scheduling of stewarding staff, including temporary personnel
Review and understand event details from the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
Coordinate and ensure proper setup and breakdown for all banquet functions
Accommodate and follow up on requests for additional wares or equipment
Monitor supply levels and conduct inventories
Inspect and maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage and back-of-house areas
Ensure compliance with State Health regulations, pest control requirements, and hotel sanitation standards
Oversee the collection and timely return of dirty china, glassware, and silverware to the dishwashing area
Assist the Assistant Executive Steward in maintaining cleanliness and functionality of both front and back-of-house areas
Identify and resolve any situations that compromise departmental standards
Ensure proper setup and readiness of all functions for the following shift
Complete mandatory health and safety training
Perform other job-related duties as required by management
