Job Description:

Steward at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront. Responsible for cleaning equipment, kitchen areas, and tools. Handles deliveries, stock rotation, dishwashing, and trash disposal. Job Responsibility:

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas
Receive deliveries, store perishables, rotate stock
Use chemicals to clean dishes
Sort, soak, and wash silverware and dishes
Maintain trash and dumpster area
Clean and mop all assigned areas
Follow company safety policies
Report unsafe work conditions
Support team and maintain positive working relationships
Perform other job duties requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, rotate stock
Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing
Rack and spray racked items with hot water to remove food residue
Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
Breakdown dirty bus tubs
Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
Clean and mop assigned department areas
Dispose of glass in proper containers
Break down cardboard boxes and other recyclables
Follow company safety and security policies, complete safety training
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions
Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
Stand, sit, walk for extended periods
Perform reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
