We are currently looking for a Steward to join our Stewarding team and support the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational excellence throughout the hotel. As a Steward, you will play a key role in maintaining clean and safe kitchen and front-of-house areas, handling dishware, flatware, silver, and kitchen equipment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Your contribution will help provide the exceptional guest experiences that define Four Seasons.
Job Responsibility:
Operate dishwashing and silver burnishing machines safely, handling all chemicals correctly and storing them properly
Load, unload, clean, polish, and store dishware, flatware, and silver items across the hotel
Follow daily schedules for polishing silver items and handle last-minute polishing requests efficiently
Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work area
immediately report accidents, spills, or damages
Ensure all necessary cleaning supplies are available and notify the Executive Steward of any shortages
Clean, dust, sweep, mop, polish, scrub, wash, strip, and buff designated areas in the hotel, including kitchen walls, floors, drains, coolers, and freezers
Set up, clear, and clean kitchens and front-of-house buffets according to Banquet Event Orders (BEO)
Support cross-departmental requests and assist with administrative tasks, paperwork, and departmental upkeep
Comply with health, safety, and hygiene standards, responding appropriately to emergency situations
Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings to maintain high standards and continuous learning
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Chief Steward, including redeployment to alternative areas if needed
Requirements:
Previous experience in stewarding, dishwashing, or a similar role is preferred
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment use in a kitchen environment
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate professionally
Flexibility to adapt to operational needs and take on additional duties when required
Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and hotel standards
Ability to obtain any required food handling or sanitation certifications as required by local regulations
