Job Description:

Steward position at The Castle Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel in Dalian. Responsible for operating cleaning equipment, maintaining kitchen and storage areas, receiving deliveries, ensuring proper sanitation, and following safety procedures in a luxury hotel environment.

Job Responsibility:

Operate cleaning equipment including dish washing machine
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
Receive and properly store deliveries
Ensure clean wares are stored appropriately
Follow safety and security procedures
Develop positive working relationships
Adhere to quality standards
Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools
Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
Receive deliveries and store perishables properly
Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals
Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items
Rack and spray all racked items with hot water
Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware
Breakdown dirty bus tubs
Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area
Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
Dispose of glass properly
Break down cardboard boxes
Follow company safety and security policies
Report maintenance needs and accidents
Complete safety training
Move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Reach overhead and below knees
No high school diploma or G.E.D. required
No related work experience required
No supervisory experience required
No license or certification required
