The Steward Supervisor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety across the food hall while supporting the stewarding team on shift. This hourly role ensures all shared spaces are clean, stocked, and operating efficiently to support both guests and vendors.
Job Responsibility
Supervise stewarding team and support daily operations on shift
Maintain cleanliness of all market areas, restrooms, dish rooms, and hallways
Assist with timing and coordinating team breaks to ensure proper coverage
Assist with training new hires and report their progress to management
Support receiving and putting away deliveries in an organized and safe manner
Ensure proper waste removal
Monitor cleaning schedules and respond quickly to spills or hazards
Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and used safely
Ensure all kitchens are stocked with the necessary supplies for service
Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies and dishware
Conduct regular walkthroughs and report any maintenance, safety, or operational issues
Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Escalate any issues that arise to the Manager on Duty in a timely manner
Requirements
Experience in stewarding or facilities in a high-volume environment
Strong organization and leadership skills
Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
