Job Description

This is a 12-month time limited position. SPD intern will be trained and educated on the job to care for and reprocess reusable medical equipment and surgical instrumentation. The intern will successfully pass all hospital competencies for department.

Job Responsibility

Performs the basic activities and related professional services necessary in the care and handling of surgical instruments

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
completion of formal training in field preferred
proficient in spoken and written English
must successfully pass all hospital competencies for department
Certification as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required by the end of 12 months
