Sterile Processing Tech Certified

• Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department
• Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies
• Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment
• Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards
• Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified
• Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR
• Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments

• Computer skills required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
• Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
