Job Description:

The Lab Support Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our day to day sterile lab operations and receive exposure to various workflows within our organization. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in a compounding pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for providing excellent patient care.

Job Responsibility:

Supporting the sterile lab by cleaning lab beakers and equipment, calibrating beakers, wrapping beakers, using ovens and autoclaves, labeling vials, restocking labs and other duties as assigned
Ensures adequate stock levels of laboratory supplies
Routinely checks for outdated or soon to expire chemicals

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED
Hold a MO Pharmacy technician license or willing to obtain one
Ability to work efficiently in a timely manner
Close attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be capable of donning and wearing all protective wear as required by procedure for each area. This includes, but not limited to: mask, gloves, lab coat, coveralls, hairnet, safety goggles and shoe covers
Must be capable of lifting and moving items, including ingredients, weighing up to 50 pounds

Nice to have:

Strong interest in learning about compounding and the pharmaceutical industry
Enthusiastic about shadowing opportunities across various departments
Willingness to learn about the business before choosing a specific department
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and possibly customers
Demonstrates a keen eye for detail in tasks such as labeling, packaging, and document creation
