Job Description:

Morson are recruiting for Platers for their client based in Barrow in Furness. The role is a 12 month contract with starts subject to security clearance. There is a trade test over 2 weeks when you start as part of your training. It is a standard 37 hours a week with a possibility of overtime. Shifts do vary and the client do require candidates to be flexible.

Job Responsibility:

  • Fabricate, Assemble and/or install parts of a ship
  • Marking off materials
  • Assembling of ships structures (Shell, Decks, Bulkheads, Frames and Longditudinals
  • Outfitting Ships items such as Seats, Ladders, False flooring & Panels

Requirements:

  • Heavy industry background such as oil and gas, marine, shipbuilding
  • Apprenticeship certificates
  • Right qualifications
