Job Description

This position is responsible for taking orders, serving drinks and food, acting as cashier, and ensuring that guests are taken care of during their meal. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable federal/state/local laws, as well as gaming regulation pursuant to the NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards, State Gaming Compact, and all Policy and Procedure, Tribal Internal Controls Standards, as it pertains to the gaming operations, the mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority.

Requirements

  • Prior customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • excellent customer service/communication skills
  • high school diploma or GED
  • at least six months server experience in a full-service bar and/or restaurant preferred
  • available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • able to multi-task
  • must know menu items and daily specials
  • basic knowledge of POS systems
  • ability to pass a drug test
  • obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • obtain Liquor License (may be required)
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • ability to lift at least 20 lbs and push/pull/drag up to 50 lbs
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
