Job Description:

Statutory Reporting team is an independent group of subject matter experts in Regulatory Reporting within the Finance Division. The team is responsible for the preparation of the audited financial statements for approximately 60 UK companies along with supporting financial reporting and control teams in EMEA with the preparation of some of their financial statements. The financial statements are prepared under IFRS, UK GAAP or local GAAP. The Statutory Reporting team works closely with other areas of Finance – Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Product Control - to ensure that the results of the individual entities properly reflect the group’s activities. The team also supports other teams on one-off transactions and specialized accounting issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contributing to overall project objectives of a small team responsible for implementing digital solution for financial statements preparation on selected Citi legal entities
  • Become an SME on software capabilities and customization to specific needs of the given entities
  • Participate in the development and implementation project of migrating CSC owned financial statements to a digital solution
  • Advise and provide expertise to country finance teams on best practice solutions

Requirements:

  • University/College degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial auditing (internal or external) or financial reporting and accounting or controlling
  • IFRS experience, familiarity with UK GAAP is an advantage
  • Prior experience with preparation of financial statements and supporting external audit is an advantage
  • IT affinity
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Pro-active, able to manage time and issues
  • Planning and organizational skills, able to prioritize work
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with UK GAAP
  • Prior experience with preparation of financial statements and supporting external audit
