As a Stator Manufacturing Technician, you will play a hands-on role in building stators for our electric engines supporting the Midnight aircraft. This position operates in a predominantly manual production environment, where strict adherence to work instructions, precision, and attention to detail are critical to success.
Job Responsibility:
Assemble stators and support electric engine subassemblies using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment (e.g., stators, motors, inverters, gearboxes)
Execute winding, insulation, impregnation, and mechanical assembly processes for stator builds
Work closely with Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams to support equipment bring-up, process development, and validation activities
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve equipment and process issues to support continuous improvement
Diagnose and debug stator-related issues during build and test
Build and modify basic lab fixtures, tooling, and test aids as needed
Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and lab equipment
Conduct in-process and final inspections using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, measurement microscopes, etc.)
Accurately document build issues, process deviations, inspection results, and manufacturing parameters
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety protocols
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in a technical field or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
Experience working in an R&D, prototype, or early production manufacturing environment
