Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Statistician to Leverage varied statistical experience to analyze and present results from both laboratory clinical trials and clinical observational studies. Emphasis on statistical inference, performing sample size and power calculations, regulatory submission, and manuscript writing.

Job Responsibility

  • Working closely with senior statisticians, biologists, and clinicians to perform statistical analyses for preclinical and clinical investigations
  • Supporting experimental design using simulation- and equation-based power and sample size analyses
  • Applying a variety of statistical analysis techniques to our studies, including GLMs, survival analysis, longitudinal/mixed effects modeling
  • Contributing to documentation that is sent to regulatory agencies, including study protocols, study reports, statistical analysis plans and data package documentation
  • Collaborating with data engineers and laboratory and clinical research teams to advise on data collection and database infrastructure
  • Sharing scientific results for internal meetings/presentations, manuscripts, or poster sessions and conference presentations
  • Assisting in endpoint and/or assay development through exploratory data analysis and modeling
  • As the team grows, contributing to the mentorship and training of more junior bioinformaticians and supporting best practices in analysis and reproducibility

Requirements

  • MS in statistics, biostatistics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of industry experience with statistical analyses in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting
  • Proficient programming skills (R, python) and version control (git)
  • Experience developing reproducible analysis workflows and documentation (e.g., quarto or Jupyter notebooks)
  • Strong written and verbal scientific communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in aging biology, longevity science, or age-related disease
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace applications (e.g., Sheets, Slides, etc.)
