Station Manager – Edinburgh About The Role AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) working in cooperation with our client Ryanair are inviting applications for a Station Manager to be based at Edinburgh Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europe's largest airline. This is a challenging and dynamic leadership role that requires strong organisational skills, people management experience, and a solid background in aircraft maintenance and engineering.

Job Responsibility

  • Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents & AOG's
  • Manpower planning, recruitment and staff performance management
  • Ensuring appropriate spares, tooling and facilities are available at each location
  • Conducting regular visits to Line Stations across the UK, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory compliance
  • Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non-Compliances & implementing strategies to prevent recurrence

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or similar)
  • Strong team management skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Flexible, hands-on approach to leadership
  • Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Nice to have

Knowledge of Aviation Processes is an advantage but not essential
