Job Description:

The Station Engineer is responsible for overseeing all operations related to the 2Excel hangar facility at Boscombe Down. Reporting to the 2Excel Engineering Head of Maintenance, this role will generally work Monday to Friday with flexibility to accommodate emergency situations, unscheduled maintenance or project deadlines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee all operations related to the 2Excel hangar facility at Boscombe Down
  • Project manage all aircraft inputs, including coordinating and overseeing base maintenance and line maintenance
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders for modifications, role changes and flight test activities
  • Oversee the hangar and surrounding areas, ensuring they remain clean, organised and compliant with safety standards
  • Ensure the hangar is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to support aircraft operations
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate hangar personnel, allocating tasks and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
  • Enforce procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of personnel and aircraft and compliance with all aviation regulatory requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the hangar facility, including personnel, maintenance, and operational costs
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to the budget
  • Prepare performance and operational reports as required

Requirements:

  • CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence
  • Ability to hold a 'C' Licence
  • Experience in a Part 145 Base Maintenance environment
  • Experience in modification and line activities (highly desirable)
  • Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757 (extremely advantageous)
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Exceptional leader and strong communicator
  • Ability to build rapport at all levels of the organisation and with external customers and stakeholders
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in managing budgets, schedules and resources
  • Eligibility to hold a UK Security Clearance

Nice to have:

  • Experience and/or type rating and recency on Boeing 757
  • Experience in modification and line activities
