As the State Sales Manager for FS&C, you will be accountable for leading the state sales team to deliver profitable growth across foodservice, route, wholesale, and convenience channels. This role owns the state commercial plan and execution: translating national strategy into local action, building capability in the field team, and ensuring best in class execution with foodservice & convenience partners and operators.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and develop Field Sales Managers, Territory Managers, and State Account Managers to high performance
Embed a performance culture with clear targets, coaching rhythms, and development plans
Own state sales targets (revenue, volume, margin)
Translate national channel strategies and customer JBP commitments into state execution plans
Run joint business planning (JBP), pipeline reviews, and demand planning to improve forecast accuracy and DIFOT
Partner with National Key Account Managers (FS&C) to align on terms, programs, and state performance priorities
Optimize territory design, route planning, and call cycles for productivity and coverage through field sales management team
Requirements:
5–8+ years in sales leadership, key accounts, or field management within FS&C/FMCG/food & beverage
Demonstrated success leading field teams and managing distributor/channel partners
Experience converting national commercial plans into state execution and measurable results
Strong grasp of P&L levers, pricing, promotional ROI, and forecast/demand fundamentals
Comfortable with BI/CRM tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce), translating insights into action
Valid driver’s licence
Ability to travel extensively within the state
