We are hiring a Freelance Ad Review Specialist to join a top entertainment company in NYC.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review advertising at all stages of development for truthfulness, accuracy, and appropriateness
  • Identify express and implied claims and evaluate supporting documentation such as studies, product testing, and market research
  • Apply and interpret advertising policies during the creative review and clearance process
  • Assess matters of taste and appropriateness based on community standards and current events
  • Maintain complete and organized records of all communications, claim support, and documentation
  • Manage large volumes of advertising content and multiple concurrent reviews
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve creative and compliance issues
  • Spot potential risks and maintain organized advertising histories

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, JD or advanced degree in marketing, science, research, or communications ideal
  • 1+ years of experience in a role demonstrating strong analytical thinking, writing skills, and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with advertising and marketing laws and regulations (FTC, FCC, FDA) preferred
  • Experience with clinical analysis, product testing, market research, or statistical analysis preferred
  • Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, consumer goods, politics, or gaming preferred
  • Experience in advertising standards, broadcast standards, or production environments a plus
  • Strong research and library skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to maintain thorough records
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interest in Advertising Standards & Practices and willingness to dive into high-volume claim review
