Job Description:

The SS Welder is responsible for the day-to-day production of Pulpmill Services’ specialty welding business.

Job Responsibility:

  • Efficient in mig and/or tig welding of Stainless Steel
  • Proficient in reading weld symbols
  • Proficient in checking dimensions and thicknesses
  • Able to follow engineering plans, drawings and instructions
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of high alloy welding experience
  • Valid driver’s license/State ID
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, etc.
  • Great sense of urgency
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Be able to think quickly and critically in response to scope changes on small to large equipment
  • Experience working in a metal fabrication shop
  • Ability to work independently and with other personnel
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
