Job Summary: The Staffing Coordinator ensures that all Home Care clients are serviced in an accurate, conscientious & timely manner with proper staffing of appropriate personnel; also may be directly involved in the recruitment and hiring process for the agency. Our floaters provide essential daily support and companionship to our clients, including but not limited too, vacation coverage and new client starts.
Job Responsibility
Assign and schedule field staff to provide care and services for patients
Answer phone calls from field staff and patients
Provide patients or families with accurate schedules no less than monthly
Computer system reporting responsibilities
Confirm weekend schedules with care givers on Thursday
Confirm weekend schedules with clients on Friday
Track hours and attendance for all staff
Ensure all shifts/visits are completed in the system accurately & timely
Confirm all shifts weekly with clients and clinicians
Assist with hiring and orientation of new team members
Maintain confidentiality of all information
Available for on-call via telephone to cover during weekends, holidays and after office hours
Be available by phone for all staffing concerns/questions
Act as emergency fill-in for all private duty clients
Be available to meet at a client’s home with new staff members
Report to office by 8:00 am Monday following weekend on-call
Survey clients on patient care as directed by the manager
Assisting with personal care
Helping with mobility and transfers
Light housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen changes
Meal preparation and assistance with eating
Medication reminders
Transportation or errands
Providing companionship and emotional support
Requirements
3 or more years of experience in healthcare staffing, strongly preferred
Medicaid staffing experience required
2 or more years of experience as a professional caregiver, required
Active driver's license, reliable transportation and current car insurance, required
Average to above average computer skills, including word processing and data entry
Must be a self-starter, pro-active person, able to work with minimal supervision
Must be a team player dedicated to providing a high level of customer service, with a positive attitude
Must be able to communicate effectively and possess well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to effectively interact with all employees
Ability to be well organized and prioritize effectively
Ability to take overnight weekday and weekend call as needed
