Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Munich-based Staff Writer to join our Secret Media team! This exciting opportunity within a dynamic and fast-growing start-up is perfect for a journalism and social media enthusiast who wants to showcase their skills to a large, highly engaged audience. We’re seeking someone who can create vibrant, original content about city life for our Secret Media platforms within Germany (Secret Berlin, Secret Munich, etc.)

Job Responsibility:

Identifying compelling stories and generating diverse content ideas
Crafting engaging, accurate, and informative articles efficiently
Ensuring all site copy and headlines adhere to editorial guidelines and our style guide
Collaborating on an editorial calendar that balances news, reviews, and city-centric content
Creating SEO-friendly posts
Assisting in promotional efforts and collaborating with our Social Media Networking team
Using analytics to refine your content strategy

Requirements:

Native-level proficiency in written and spoken German
Fluent English for internal communications
Demonstrated experience in digital writing
Keen understanding of what makes stories shareable on social platforms
Proficiency with social and digital publishing tools
Methodical approach to efficiently managing your beat
Strong connection to the German lifestyle, food, entertainment, and art scene
