The Tax Staff Accountant organizes and processes client tax data to ensure the accurate and timely completion of individual tax returns, as well as simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, S-Corp, and trust tax filings. They actively participate in various phases of tax engagements, working on both business and personal tax returns while assisting with related planning for a diverse client base. This role requires close collaboration with other departments and associates to support seamless client service and maintain the firm's high standards of quality and accuracy.
Job Responsibility:
Provides timely, accurate, and professional responses to client and firm associate inquiries
Drafts and prepares client correspondence
Prepares individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections
Conducts thorough research and analysis of tax forms and regulatory instructions
Proactively communicates with engagement leaders regarding outstanding items
Manages workload effectively by adhering to established budgets and deadlines
Identifies potential challenges or opportunities within engagements
Develops proficiency in applying accounting principles
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
0 -2 years of experience in public accounting
Qualified to sit for CPA exams
A minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year
Proficient in Microsoft Office
with an emphasis on Excel and QuickBooks
