Join AMD’s Supply Chain NPI (New Product Introduction) Capacity Planning team, where you will play a critical role in enabling successful product launches. As a planner within the GOQ organization, you will support the execution of NPI capacity plans by partnering with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, Board Operations (process and materials), Test Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Planning. In this role, you will also collaborate closely with leading global OSAT partners, supporting planning and execution across some of the most advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments in the world. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and supply chain, contributing to high-impact product bring-up activities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze capacity plans and factory loading to identify gaps, constraints, and root causes, and support actions to close them
Execute long-term capacity planning for key NPI programs
Partner with OSATs and contract manufacturers to drive throughput, efficiency, and execution against plans
Manage planning parameters and collaborate with Engineering and Industrial Engineering teams to improve supply and resolve constraints
Track and monitor capacity positions and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
Support capacity planning analysis across NPI and mass production, including hardware, materials, BOM, and test flow considerations
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address capacity gaps and drive resolution of supply shortfalls
Communicate planning insights and updates to stakeholders to support alignment and execution
Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing, product planning, or supply chain within a production environment
Exposure to capacity planning or supply planning processes
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and change management in a manufacturing setting
Experience working with OSATs, contract manufacturers, or outsourced production partners
Exposure to NPI processes, including sample planning, delivery, and volume ramp
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field preferred
