We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to support the technical leadership and development of our logistics software portfolio, with focus areas including first/ lastmile operations, transport planning, and network planning. This role requires a combination of deep engineering expertise, strong cross-functional communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Partner with stakeholders to analyze requirements, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and alignment with product strategy
Assess proposed business needs for technical suitability, architectural impact, and long-term maintainability
Translate functional requirements into technical designs, architectural concepts, and implementation plans
Actively contribute to the codebase, including designing, implementing, reviewing, and optimizing software components
Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring consistent execution, adherence to standards, and high-quality delivery
Communicate complex technical topics in a clear and structured manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
Support cross-team alignment and contribute to the definition and evolution of architectural patterns and best practices
Mentor engineers and support talent development within the organization
Requirements:
Extensive experience in software engineering
Proven ability to work directly with stakeholders to interpret needs, challenge assumptions, and define actionable technical direction
Broad technical skill set, with the ability to operate across multiple layers of the technology stack
Backend: Java (preferably Quarkus), REST, JWT
Frontend: Working knowledge of React
Cloud & DevOps: Containerization, Github Action, Kubernetes or Azure
Knowledge of event-driven distributed system architectures or streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka), integration patterns, software security principles, and scalable application design
Demonstrated capability to quickly learn new technologies, frameworks, and domain concepts
