Staff Software Engineer (Backend / Infrastructure leaning) – Remote with occasional travel across East Coast – Competitive Salary + Equity + Opportunity to work with an Ambitious, Rapidly-Growing Start-Up. This young, early-stage start-up challenger are currently looking for a hands-on Back-End/Infrastructure Engineer to join their small team and help drive the business forwards. This young and agile company are building cutting-edge AI platforms.

Job Responsibility:

  • ~80% hands-on coding
  • Heavy focus on backend systems and infrastructure
  • Full-stack exposure where required
  • Building and evolving the product
  • Supporting customer-specific customisations
  • Working very closely with CEO, ML engineer, and forward-deployed engineer

Requirements:

  • Senior-level software engineering experience
  • Strong backend and infrastructure background
  • Comfortable operating in pre-launch, ambiguous environments
  • Comfortable working in a small company
  • Proven experience shipping production systems
  • AWS experience
  • Startup Energy: You thrive in fast-paced environments, manage ambiguity well, and focus on what moves the needle

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with agentic systems or agentic services
