Job Description:

The Member Growth Engineering team builds the digital experiences that help new members discover Spring Health and guide all members to the right care at the right moment. We are moving beyond traditional funnels to build a D2C brand and a highly engaging product. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer II to dive into the most challenging technical issues on emerging opportunities, provide broad organizational leadership across all of engineering, and set the standard for Staff Engineering as a function at Spring Health.

Job Responsibility:

  • Establish and drive technical vision for all of engineering
  • Balance business, technology, and time horizon tradeoffs expertly
  • Lead culture, initiatives, and tech strategy effectively across the entire company, spanning business and technology functions
  • Directly lead Spring Health’s most challenging and high leverage technical initiatives, with accountability for measurable impact
  • Setting the standards for engineering and organizational excellence in R+D
  • Maintain industry trend awareness and Spring Health presence
  • Identify and proactively take on emerging risks and opportunities across R+D, with accountability for measurable outcomes
  • Directly influencing technology and product strategy
  • Providing leadership in incident response as an on-call escalation point or senior communications officer
  • Engage directly with teams, at times spanning global time zones
  • Mentoring and coaching Senior engineers

  • At least 12 years experience as a software engineer
  • Track record of proactive and collaborative leadership style

  • At least 5 years experience as a senior engineering leader in a mature tech organization
  • Specific experience leading technology strategy and engineering initiatives with measurable outcomes
