Job Description:

Join our Ecosystem team, a cross-functional group of engineers and product partners building the platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers rely on every day. We own strategic accounting, marketplace, payment plugins, and open‑banking integrations, as well as the infrastructure that powers our public APIs that enabling third-party partners to build on top of. You’ll work closely with backend, product, design, and go‑to‑market teams to ship secure, reliable experiences that simplify financial operations for businesses of all sizes and unlock new use cases on top of the Airwallex business account.

Job Responsibility:

  • Platform Architecture & Strategy: Lead the high-level design and long-term technical roadmap for the App Marketplace or Extension Framework
  • Extensibility Frameworks: Design and implement the core SDKs, webhooks, and UI-extension patterns that allow third-party developers to embed their functionality directly into the Airwallex platform
  • Technical Excellence: Establish and enforce rigorous internal coding standards, observability patterns, and security protocols for the entire team
  • Developer Experience (DX): Champion the needs of external developers by building world-class documentation infrastructure, sandboxes, and tooling.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Internet applications, large financial systems, or e-commerce platforms
  • Proficient in coding or scripting languages(Java/Kotlin/C++/Python, etc.)
  • Deep familiarity with the standard library, idiomatic usage, and best practices of your primary programming languages.

Nice to have:

  • Ecosystem Experience: Direct experience building or maintaining a public-facing developer platform, app marketplace, or extension framework
  • Architectural Patterns: Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to manage complex business logic and microservice boundaries
