As a Staff Software Engineer at Cloudera Taikun, you will design, build, and maintain infrastructure tooling that extends Taikun’s capabilities into the broader cloud-native ecosystem. You’ll contribute to projects like our Terraform provider, Crossplane provider, Kubernetes autoscaler, CLI tools, and Tekton pipelines. Most of your work will be in Go, with some automation tasks in Ansible.

Job Responsibility

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Taikun Terraform provider and Crossplane provider
  • Work on Taikun’s Kubernetes autoscaler and CLI tools
  • Develop Go-based microservices to support infrastructure tooling
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration with Taikun’s backend and platform
  • Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and testing

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Go or other low level compiled languages
  • 6+ years experience building backend services or CLI tools
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and APIs
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices and pipeline automation (Tekton or similar)
  • Willingness to work on and learn technologies like Terraform (OpenTofu) and Crossplane
  • Good collaboration and communication skills
  • Bsc/MSc in related field or equivalent experience
