Job Description:

CVS Health Digital is looking for an individual contributor with Java, NodeJS and Spring boot development experience to help build our next-generation platform to promote the delivery of use cases into products focused on helping people live healthier lives. The Staff Development Engineer – Software Engineering will be a hands-on, individual contributor working on cutting-edge applications and products.

Job Responsibility:

Design and develop cloud scalable services in containerized and CI/CD environment
Collaborate in solving complex data, features, service, platform issues and perform root cause analysis
Partner with business and product management to define and prioritize opportunities
Implement Circuit Breakers and Service Discovery patterns for Microservices
Design and implement real-time Streaming of data from No-SQL/SQL databases to analytics
Work with business users, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems
Assist in risk assessment, Tech audits and mitigation activities

Requirements:

7+ years of software development in enterprise/web/cloud applications
3+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar)
4+ years experience with programming languages/tools including: Java, Spring boot, Reactive programming, Caching Strategies and Partitioned NonSQL/SQL DBs
3+ years of experience in design, development and operationalizing microservices based web/webservices application in cloud native environment
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
Strong analytical thinking skills to simplify complex problems, processes or projects into component parts

Nice to have:

Experience with build automation technologies like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Harness
Experience building in large volume subscription platform
Experience with Cassandra and Postgres
Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Understanding of security threats and patterns and ensure adherence to all regulatory initiatives, HIPAA, PHI, PII, locational and contractual data restrictions
