Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a key member of a collaborative team responsible for the design, delivery, and operation of business-critical, distributed systems
  • Work in a team that manages the foundational data and services for the core healthcare provider domain
  • Lead technical initiatives to solve complex, enterprise-wide problems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Design and build enterprise-grade systems using modern technology, delivering incremental value through platform-focused releases, and driving long-term improvements focused on simplicity
  • Collaborate to meet cross-organization needs, research leading-edge technologies, and refine the team through mentorship and continuous learning

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • Strong foundation in software engineering, including problem-solving, data structures, algorithms, patterns, and concurrency
  • Experience as a polyglot engineer with proficiency in more than one language such as C++, C#, Java, Golang, Javascript, Typescript, or Python
  • Experience using full-stack development to ship and operate large-scale systems
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of RDBMS, specifically SQL Server or PostgreSQL
  • Strong experience in the design, implementation, and operation of distributed systems at scale
  • Strong experience with cloud vendors such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Clear and effective communication skills

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with asynchronous, event-based architectures
  • Experience with technologies such as Kafka, REST APIs, Protobuf, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
  • Experience with Application and Performance Monitoring platforms (e.g., New Relic)
  • Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working with agile methodologies
