Staff Software Development Engineer

• Develop mainframe applications according to customer specifications and requirements
• Participate in requirements gathering and design sessions
• Work as part of a team to ensure solutions are designed to fully function in an integrated application suite
• Design and develop solutions that enable applications to perform optimally and scale to meet future business needs
• Perform thorough unit and integration testing
• Support QA testing and deployment activities
• Monitor systems to ensure proper functioning
• Analyze and optimize applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Create and maintain documentation related to mainframe applications
• Stay current with latest industry trends
• Closely interact with project managers, business analysts, and other developers

• 7+ years of experience with Mainframe development and support utilizing COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL, MQ, Xpeditor, Endevor or similar source control application
• 7+ years of experience with Systems analysis
• 7+ years of experience with Software design principles and software architecture
• 7+ years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage changing priorities
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Being a self-starter who takes initiative with challenging situations
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale offshore vendor support arrangements
• 5+ years of healthcare experience in Claim Adjudication, Claim Payment/Banking, or Electronic Funds Transfer
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
