We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Development Engineer with deep expertise in Angular to help shape and scale our next‑generation platform products. This role will focus heavily on building and optimizing real-time chat experiences and supporting a broad range of chat use cases across the enterprise. The Staff Software Development Engineer will architect and develop reusable UI frameworks, enhance platform-wide capabilities, and collaborate closely with Product, Backend, Architecture, and UX teams to deliver seamless, performant, and reliable chat solutions used across multiple business lines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and enhance real-time UI components for platform products and reusable Angular frameworks
  • Contribute to DevOps activities, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment support
  • Support cloud integrations, configuration, and troubleshooting within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for UI and platform product services
  • Partner with Product to refine requirements, provide estimates, and align on roadmap priorities
  • Work with Architecture to ensure front-end solutions align with enterprise platform standards
  • Collaborate with Design to implement accessible, user-centered, and pixel-perfect interfaces
  • Engage with engineering peers through code reviews, mentoring, and cross-team coordination

Requirements:

  • 10 + years of front-end/UI development experience
  • Expert-level proficiency in Angular (Angular 10+), TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS
  • Strong experience designing large-scale Angular component libraries and design systems
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, code generation, automated test generation)
  • Experience integrating or consuming AI/ML-powered APIs (e.g., NLP services, chat intelligence, recommendation APIs)
  • Hands-on experience building platform products and shared UI frameworks
  • Deep understanding of modern state management patterns
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and WebSockets for real-time features
  • Strong knowledge of browser behavior, performance optimization, and responsive design
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field-or equivalent relevant experience

  • Experience with GraphQL
  • Experience leveraging container-based technologies
  • Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing frameworks
  • Background working with complex systems and solving highly analytical problems
  • Experience implementing AI-based features in UI, such as smart suggestions, automated chat insights, or generative UI enhancements
  • Familiarity with LLM concepts and prompt engineering for building intelligent chat & search experience components
  • Experience with cloud-hosted AI services (Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
