Job Description

As Staff Product Manager – In-Vehicle Customer Profile , you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for how customer profiles function within the vehicle. This role focuses on the capabilities, data, and behaviors of a customer profile. You will own the product vision and roadmap for the in-vehicle customer profile as a functional platform, including how it stores and manages customer data, how it evolves based on vehicle usage, and how it integrates with other products, services, and applications.

Job Responsibility

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for in-vehicle customer profile functionality, focusing on the underlying capabilities
  • Establish how customer profiles are structured, stored, and managed within the vehicle, including data lifecycle, persistence, and synchronization principles
  • Lead the evolution of profiles that learn and adapt over time based on customer behavior, preferences, and vehicle usage patterns
  • Partner with data, privacy, legal, and cybersecurity teams to ensure customer data within profiles is handled responsibly, securely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Enable integration patterns that allow other vehicle features, products, and applications to leverage customer profile data in a consistent and scalable way
  • Collaborate with adjacent product teams to ensure seamless interoperability
  • Define success metrics and KPIs related to profile reliability, adoption, data quality, and downstream product enablement
  • Serve as a subject-matter leader for in-vehicle customer profile capabilities, influencing long-term platform direction while delivering incremental value

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in identity, data-driven platform services, or embedded software to cloud domains
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with experience defining product capabilities used by multiple products or applications
  • Ability to work closely with engineering and architecture partners on complex, cross-system product challenges
  • Experience balancing long-term strategy with near-term execution in an iterative development environment
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with embedded systems, automotive software, or connected device ecosystems
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms, identity-adjacent systems, or personalization technologies
  • Experience defining product strategies where privacy, security, and data governance are first-order concerns
  • Master’s degree in a related field
