Job Description:

Staff Product Designer role on the Growth team at Checkr, focused on achieving ambitious goals from customer acquisition to conversion through a self-serve, product-led approach. The role involves working on funnel optimization, new user experience, personalization, and leveraging AI to create personalized customer experiences.

Job Responsibility:

Embed with the Growth team
help define the roadmap, vision, and lead design work
Own the design work for funnel optimization, NUX, and personalization for guided flows
Leverage AI to create personalized customer experiences
Design growth systems, experiments, and new product features
Champion designs that deliver seamless, easy, delightful experience for SMB users
Facilitate workshops to develop winning ideas
Distill complex information into simple user experiences
Build relationships with interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, build, and ship products
Participate in UX research and apply insights to designs

Requirements:

Portfolio showcasing high-quality work directly impacting project success
7+ years of professional design experience
4 years on Growth teams or in ecommerce and merchandising
Experience with onboarding & merchandising surfaces
Comfortable with iterative experimentation like A/B testing
Ability to identify and conduct UX research and testing independently
Experience in fast-paced environments
Focus on psychology and user behavior
Ability to align work with high-level team goals
Deep understanding of best practices and contemporary design patterns

Nice to have:

Experience with behavioral science
Experience with B2B companies focusing on SMBs
