We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our London team. In this role, you will lead the design strategy for critical product areas, influencing the long-term vision of our platform and driving architectural improvements that ripple across the entire Deliveroo ecosystem.
Job Responsibility
Define the product design strategy for high-level, ambiguous business challenges, ensuring alignment between user needs and long-term commercial goals
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to drive architectural decisions and platform-wide design standards
Champion a culture of design excellence by mentoring senior designers and fostering high-quality craft across the organisation
Identify and tackle systemic design opportunities that improve performance, accessibility, and user satisfaction at scale
Act as a bridge between functions, using your influence to align cross-functional teams around a unified product vision
Requirements
Extensive experience leading complex design initiatives from conception to launch within large-scale, high-growth environments
Proven ability to define and drive design strategy, successfully managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
Demonstrated track record of mentoring designers and elevating the quality of work within high-performing teams
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design visions and influence senior leadership
Deep technical fluency and a strategic understanding of how design influences engineering constraints and product outcomes
