Job Description:

At CVS Health, Staff Pharmacists play a critical role in delivering purpose-driven health care by managing pharmacy operations, providing patient care, ensuring compliance, and mentoring the pharmacy team. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, delivering immunizations, resolving medication issues, and aiding in clinical care efforts.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Overseeing the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts without overlap
Contributing to positive patient experiences, including resolving insurance and medication issues
Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
Supporting the effective management of pharmacy inventory
Ensuring pharmacy operations are compliant with relevant state regulations
Maintaining relevant clinical and technical skills
Supporting access to care through clinical services
Complying with federal and state laws, regulations, and CVS Health policies

Requirements:

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
Mathematical reasoning skills
Physical abilities including mobility, lifting, and visual acuity

Nice to have:

1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
