Job Description:

Staff Pharmacist position at CVS Health focused on transforming health care for customers, helping people navigate the health care system by improving access, lowering costs, and being a trusted partner. Plays a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in the pharmacy by acting as a role model and demonstrating genuine care for patients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
  • Overseeing the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts
  • Strengthening pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching
  • Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
  • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
  • Proactively offering and delivering immunizations
  • Supporting effective management of pharmacy inventory
  • Ensuring pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
  • Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist delivered clinical care
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements:

  • Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
  • Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
  • Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another
  • Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy
  • Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner
  • Notice and understand patients' reactions
  • Use and understand verbal and written communication
  • Utilize active listening
  • Ability to use math to solve pharmacy problems
  • Identifying challenging patient or colleague interactions
  • Physical mobility and ability to remain upright for extended periods
  • Lifting, scanning, and bagging items
  • Reaching overhead and stretching
  • Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing
  • Extending hands and arms in multiple directions
  • Control precision for machine adjustments
  • Stooping and bending
  • Close visual acuity for transcribing, computer work, reading
  • Lifting up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication

Nice to have:

  • 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
  • Ability to work in other locations across the market as business needs require
